CW-DTS 1.0.1.0
Exact Audio Copy setup
Cole Williams Software Limited

OVERVIEW
========

CW-DTS can be used as a User Defined Encoder in Exact Audio Copy.

CW-DTS supports native 44.1 kHz DTS Core encoding, so standard audio-CD PCM
does not require resampling to 48 kHz.

EAC CONFIGURATION
=================

Open:

  EAC -> Compression Options -> External Compression

Use the following settings:

  Use external program for compression:
    Enabled

  Parameter passing scheme:
    User Defined Encoder

  Use file extension:
    .dts

  Program, including path, used for compression:
    Point this to cw-dts.exe

Typical EAC Codecs installation:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Exact Audio Copy\Encoders\cw-dts.exe

  Additional command-line options:

    --eac --title "%title%" --artist "%artist%" --album "%albumtitle%" --album-artist "%albumartist%" --date "%year%" --track "%tracknr%" --tracktotal "%numtracks%" --genre "%genre%" "%source%" "%dest%"

  Bit rate:
    Not used / command-line controlled

  Delete WAV after compression:
    Enabled

  Use CRC check:
    Disabled

  Add ID3 tag:
    Disabled

  Check for external programs return code:
    Disabled

BITRATE
=======

The published EAC profile intentionally omits an explicit --bitrate option.

CW-DTS therefore uses its default:

  768 kbps

To select another public profile, add one of:

  --bitrate 1024
  --bitrate 1152
  --bitrate 1411

The 1411 profile maps to 1,411,200 bit/s.

EAC METADATA MODE
=================

--eac enables Exact Audio Copy integration.

The command passes title, artist, album, album artist, date/year, track number,
total tracks and genre, followed by EAC's source and destination paths.

TAGGING
=======

Leave EAC's separate "Add ID3 tag" option disabled.
